Duke Football received some bad news after it was reported that former Blue Devil quarterback Anthony oone was involved in a car accident with Carolina Panthers linebacker Shaq Thompson near his hometown in Weddington, NC. Boone was hospitalized with several serious injuries but not in critical condition.
Thompson had alcohol in his system but was under the legal the blood-alcohol level limit, and the crash was caused by him reaching down to pick up his phone after dropping it and swerving into Boone’s lane. Shaq Thompson was uninjured in the accident while Boone suffered injuries to his hip and his hand in the crash.
