The National Basketball Association recently announced that they will hold their first ever exhibition game in Africa on August 1st. The game will take place at Ellis Park Arena in Johannesburg, South Africa and will feature current NBA players from Africa against other players in the association from around the world. Miami Heat forward and former Duke Blue Devil Luol Deng will be the captain of Team Africa and Los Angeles Clippers guard Chris Paul is the Team World captain.
Deng came to Duke by way of London and a private boarding school in New Jersey named Blair Academy, however the two-time NBA All-Star was born and raised in South Sudan.
