Former Blue Devil Wins 2016 U.S. Women’s Open

Former Blue Devil Brittany Lang recently became the first ever Duke golfer to win a major tournament after coming back from a deficit and competing in an extra playoff to win the 2016 U.S. Women’s Open over the weekend. The tournament was held at the CordeValle golf course in San Martin, CA from July 7-10.

Brittany Lang excelled as an All-American for the Blue Devils in her two years with Duke Women’s Golf. She was named the National Freshman of the Year in 2004 and led the Blue Devils to the 2005 NCAA National Women’s Golf Championship before pursuing a professional golf career.
