SYRACUSE, N.Y. – The 17th-ranked Duke women's basketball team picked up its 400th ACC program win with a 74-65 victory over Syracuse Sunday afternoon at the Carrier Dome.
Senior Onome Akinbode-James netted a career-high 16 points and grabbed six boards to lead five double-figure scorers for Duke (11-2, 2-1 ACC). Classmate Miela Goodchild and freshman Shayeann Day-Wilson each chipped in 13 points off the bench, while Lexi Gordon and Jade Williams added 11 and 10 points, respectively. Williams posted a team-leading seven rebounds and Gordon, as well as Goodchild, dished out a team best four assists.
