Over the summer, Duke hired a new rowing coach for the first time in team history after former head coach Robyn Horner retired after 17 years as the head coach who helped start the program in 1998. New head coach Megan Cooke Carcagno recently spoke about the upcoming season entering her first year at Duke.
Carcagno was an assistant on Wisconsin’s rowing staff for 7 years before joining the Blue Devils this year as the head coach and earned All-American rowing honors at California. One of the advantages of being in N.C. is that the team will have the opportunity to “train year-round on the water” due to the weather.
