WILMINGTON, N.C. – The fifth-ranked Duke women’s golf team opened with a solid start at the 2015 Landfall Tradition as the Blue Devils lead by two strokes, after carding a one-under-par, 287, Friday at the 6,157-yard, par 72 Pete Dye Course located at the Country Club of Landfall.
The Blue Devils (287) hold the team lead ahead of Oklahoma State (289) with UNC Wilmington (290), Notre Dame (291), Michigan State (291), NC State (295), Purdue (296), Clemson (298), Alabama (299), Virginia (301) and South Carolina (301) rounding out the top 10.
Leading the Duke charge in Friday’s opening round was junior Sandy Choi, who fired a four-under-par, 68, and trails Notre Dame’s Isabella DiLisio (67) by one stroke on the individual leaderboard.
