Fifteen of Duke’s intercollegiate athletic programs were honored Wednesday with NCAA Public Recognition Awards for the 2014-15 academic year.
The awards are presented annually to teams finishing among the top 10 percent of their respective sport based on the most recent multi-year Academic Performance Rate (APR).
Duke’s 15 programs that received the honor include baseball, men’s basketball, men’s cross country, women’s cross country, women’s fencing, football, men’s golf, women’s golf, men’s lacrosse, women’s lacrosse, men’s soccer, men’s outdoor track and field, women’s outdoor track and field, men’s tennis and volleyball. Five of Duke’s programs – football, men’s golf, men’s soccer, men’s outdoor track and field and women’s fencing – have been honored with the NCAA’s Public Recognition Award in each of the past 10 years.
