DURHAM, N.C. – The Duke field hockey team has been named a recipient of a 2017 Zag Field Hockey/NFHCA Division I National Academic Team Award, as announced by the National Field Hockey Coaches Association Tuesday.
The Division I National Academic Team Award recognizes those programs that earned a team GPA of 3.00 or higher during the fall semester of the 2017-18 academic year.
Duke was one of 74 Division I programs to be recognized for the academic honor, joining Boston College, Louisville, North Carolina, Syracuse, Virginia and Wake Forest from the ACC. The Blue Devils have received a National Academic Team Award from the NFHCA in each of head coach Pam Bustin’s seven seasons at the helm of the program.
