INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – For the first time in her amateur career, Duke University rising sophomore Erica Shepherd has won the Indiana Women's State Amateur Championship as she carded a final round three-under-par, 69, to win by four strokes at the Old Oakland Golf Club in Indianapolis, Ind.
Shepherd, a native of Greenwood, Ind., fired rounds of 70, 70 and 69 over three days of action to shoot a seven-under-par, 209. She finished ahead of Julia Potter-Bobb (213) and Cailyn Henderson (214). Shepherd was the only golfer in the field to notch three straight rounds of under par.
