Boston College hasn’t done well since first joining the ACC for the 2006 season, when it won 28 times, reached the ACC Tournament final and got to the NCAA Sweet 16. Things really went downhill once the school unceremoniously dumped 13-year coach Al Skinner in 2010; the Eagles have missed the NCAAs entirely and enjoyed only two winning records since then.
But Boston College also has notched two of the more notable shockers in recent ACC history. In 2014 Syracuse debuted as an ACC member by winning 25 games in a row, only to lose to Steve Donahue’s Eagles in overtime.
