DURHAM, N.C. – The NCAA announced Wednesday night that Duke redshirt freshman Mason Eaglin will enter the 2020 NCAA Wrestling Championships as the No. 32 overall seed in the 174-pound bracket.
Eaglin will wrestle the No. 33 seed Phillip Spadafora of Maryland in the pigtail match for a chance to take on top-seeded Mark Hall of Penn State. Spadafora holds a 17-16 overall mark heading into the tournament, while Hall has dropped just one bout this year and sits with a record of 23-1. Both Eaglin and Spadafora will be making their NCAA Championship debut while Hall enters the field as a three-time All-American, three-time NCAA finalist and the 2017 NCAA Champion at 174.
