DURHAM, N.C. – Duke wrestling redshirt freshman Mason Eaglin is heading to the 2020 NCAA Wrestling Championships after earning one of five 174-pound at-large bids.
Eaglin finished ranked in both the final NCAA Coaches' Poll and RPI ratings, coming in at 26th and 30th, respectively. This year, in his first full campaign as a Blue Devil, he garnered 32 of Duke's 79 dual points during the regular season and holds a 3-2 record against ranked opponents.
Eaglin heads to nationals with a 26-16 career record. He earned an at-large bid on the strength of a 21-12 regular season record that included a first-place finish at the Battle at the Citadel and Keystone Classic, as well as victories over fellow NCAA qualifiers Neal Richards of VMI and Dean Sherry of Rider.
