DURHAM, N.C.— The 2016-17 edition of the Duke women’s basketball team collected a 28-6 overall record this past season, while receiving an NCAA Tournament bid for the 23rd time in school history. The Blue Devils registered eight wins against ranked opponents and finished the regular season with a 13-3 overall record, which was tied second in the ACC, under the direction of head coach Joanne P. McCallie.
Duke knocked off 21st-ranked Syracuse and 16th-ranked Miami to advance to the ACC Tournament Championship in Conway, S.C.
Redshirt junior Lexie Brown made a splash with the Blue Devils earning Associated Press Third Team All-America honors, while redshirt junior Rebecca Greenwell earned WBCA All-America Honorable Mention accolades.
