Certainly Duke has had players who could score and assist. Jason Williams averaged 21.6 ppg and 6.1 assists per game in 2001 for a team that won a national title. Bobby Hurley averaged 17 points and eight assists as a senior.
Of course Williams and Hurley have their jerseys hanging in the Cameron rafters. I’m not sure there’s anyone in today’s college-basketball universe as good as Jason Williams was in 2001.
