DURHAM, N.C. – Duke’s defensive secondary returns four of five starters and 14 of 15 letterwinners to the 2015 team. The unit had branded itself as the coalition, playing together as a complete unit and relying on one another.
Coach David Cutcliffe’s Duke Football Show spoke with Cutcliffe, defensive coordinator Jim Knowles, junior cornerback Breon Borders and redshirt junior safety DeVon Edwards about the name coalition and what the group means to them.
Prior to the season starting, the Blue Devils’ secondary was ranked as the sixth best nationally by Lindy’s Sports.
