DURHAM, N.C.- The final women’s Olympic rankings were released Monday and the Duke women’s golf program will feature two in the 2016 Olympics in Rio as 2014 alumna Laetitia Beck will represent Israel and rising junior Leona Maguire will compete with Ireland.
Beck placed 42nd in the final rankings, while Maguire came in at No. 50 to qualify for the Olympics. Qualification began on July 14, 2014 and concluded Sunday, July 10. The full list of qualifiers include 60 male and 60 female golfers who are now eligible to be entered by their respective National Olympic Committees (NOCs) in accordance with the qualification criteria.
