Rising Duke senior Leona Maguire was recently named the winner of the 2017 Mark H. McCormack Medal for the third year in a row. The McCormack Medal is awarded to the top amateur women’s golfer in the world according to the World Amateur Golf Ranking (WAGR). This is the third year in a row that Maguire has earned the prestigious award.
Leona Maguire is currently ranked as the #1 women’s amateur golfer by WAGR. The Duke senior has had a historic collegiate and amateur golf career. Last season she became the first player ever to win the ANNIKA award for most outstanding golfer in the NCAA twice.
