WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – The Duke women's distance medley relay team clocked a third-place finish at the opening night of the JDL DMR Invitational on Friday.
The Blue Devils recorded a seasonal-best time of 11:13.71, after entering Friday with the nation's eighth-fastest mark at 11:15.47. With a fast track conversion, the time will likely be improved by roughly 10 seconds, which would qualify for the NCAA Indoor Championships and rank as a top-five time in Duke history.
"The ladies ran a strong race today that will be converted to the third-fastest DMR Duke has ever run," Assistant Coach Rhonda Riley said.
