Earlier this summer, the two Duke players representing their home countries in the FIBA U19 Women’s Basketball World Championships this summer competed against each other in their very first match of the tournament. Today, rising sophomore Azurá Stevens and incoming freshman Angela Salvadores will face off again in Russia, as the U.S. and Spain compete in the semifinals to advance to the championship game.

The first match-up wasn’t pretty, but Stevens and Team USA got the 72-55 win last week while Salvadores led the Spanish national team in scoring with 9 points.
