Duke Women’s Basketball: Blue Devils Land Graduate Transfer

Women’s basketball head coach Joanne P. McCallie recently announced that the Blue Devils will add center Bego Faz Davalos in the fall. Davalos is a graduate transfer from Fresno State who will be eligible to play immediately for the 2017-18 season.

Bego Faz Davalos is coming in as one of the top players in the NCAA. She had a career year averaging 14.6 points, 11.2 rebounds, 3.5 blocks, 1.8 assists, and 1.5 steals last season. Davalos is a two-time Mountain West conference Defensive Player of the Year. Additionally, she’s made her way into the record books for Fresno State and the MWC, and currently leads the country in blocks (346), rebounds (896), and double-doubles (37).
