DURHAM, N.C. – Wednesday’s release of the final TYR/CSCAA Division I Poll marked a historic one for the Duke women’s swimming and diving program, as the Blue Devils reached the highest national ranking in school history at No. 12.
The Duke women jumped nine spots from their Jan. 23 ranking following a dual meet victory over North Carolina in the regular season finale and an outstanding showing at last weekend’s Janis Hape Dowd Nike Invitational. The Blue Devils defeated their Tobacco Road rivals head-to-head for a third consecutive season, winning the dual by a 165.5-134.5 margin Feb.
