DURHAM, N.C. – Duke shut out visiting Furman, 7-0, to close out its non-conference slate on Sunday afternoon in Sheffield Indoor Tennis Center.
With the win, the Blue Devils swept the weekend after also registering a 5-2 victory over East Tennessee State on Friday afternoon.
Duke controlled doubles action right from the start. In the three matches, the Blue Devils only relinquished two points. Edu Güell and Luca Keist got things started first with a 6-1 victory on court two. No. 55 ranked Garrett Johns and Sean Sculley then followed that up with a 6-0 win on Duke's main court to clinch the doubles point.
