DURHAM, N.C. – Duke outscored Miami 14-0 in the fourth quarter to register a 27-17 rain-soaked victory on senior day at Brooks Field at Wallace Wade Stadium on Saturday.
The win snapped a five-game skid for Duke, who finish out the year at 5-7 overall and 3-5 in ACC play.
Duke's defense was stellar on Saturday as it sacked the Miami quarterback nine times throughout the contest for a loss of 50 yards, both season highs. Redshirt freshman Chris Rumph II tallied an impressive 3.5 sacks on the day to finish with the second most all-time in a single game in program history.
