LOUISVILLE, Ky. – For the first time in program history, three-seeded Duke advances to the ACC Semifinals with a 4-3 triumph over six-seeded Louisville on Thursday night at Ulmer Stadium. The win marks Duke's first victory in the ACC Championship.
The No. 21 Blue Devils hit the 40-win mark on the season, improving to 40-10 in the 2021 campaign and extending their winning streak to 13 games. The Cardinals end their year with a 21-28-1 record.
Although Duke only had three hits in the contest, they were crucial extra-base hits. Junior Kristina Foreman hit a home run, senior Rachel Crabtree recorded a double and junior Deja Davis tripled.
