PORTLAND – The Duke men’s golf team shot 276 (-12) as a group on Tuesday en route to a school-record 54-hole total of 826 (-34) as the Blue Devils tied for second at the Nike Golf Collegiate Invitational.
In addition to Duke’s school-record total, its 34-under performance also established a new program standard in relation to par. The Blue Devils finished in a tie with Southern California, just three strokes behind victorious Wake Forest.
“We played a great all-around round of golf today and there was no give up in our team, so I couldn’t be more proud of these guys,” Duke head coach Jamie Green said.
