ALPHARETTA, Ga. – Despite shooting a six-under 282 – its best round of the tournament – on Sunday, the Duke men’s golf team finished seventh in a tightly-contested Golf Club of Georgia Collegiate.
With a total of 860 (-4) for the tournament, Duke finished just four shots behind Virginia and Texas, who shared the tournament title. Just seven strokes separated teams 1-9 on the leaderboard in Alpharetta.
Four members of Duke’s five-man lineup posted a red number on Sunday as the Blue Devils manufactured a strong ending to event.
“Today was mild and a little warmer,” Duke head coach Jamie Green said.
