CLEMSON, S.C. – The Duke baseball team used a two-out rally in the top of the ninth to push across two runs to complete the comeback and secure a 9-8 victory over No. 16 Clemson Friday night in the series opener at Doug Kingsmore Stadium. With the win, the Blue Devils improve to 22-16 on the season, including a 9-10 mark in ACC play.
“I’m really proud of our club,” said head coach Chris Pollard. “To get down early and have an answer, I thought we had a very good offensive approach against some arms that it’s tough to have a good offensive approach against.
