Duke Swimmers Kick Off Action at U.S. Olympic Trials

OMAHA, Neb. – Eleven Blue Devils went up against the country’s fastest swimmers Sunday on the opening day of the 2016 U.S. Olympic Team Trials, held at the CenturyLink Center in Omaha.

Leading the way for the Duke contingent on day one was rising senior Michael Miller, who finished 25th in the preliminaries of the men’s 400-meter individual medley. An All-ACC performer in the 400-yard IM, Miller moved up 14 spots from his entry seed, tapping the wall in a personal best 4:23.95.

Incoming freshman Roger Kriegl also took to the water in the 400 IM, turning in a time of 4:37.
