DURHAM, N.C. – No. 14 Duke softball swept the Saturday doubleheader versus Syracuse, claiming the ACC series while head coach Marissa Young and the Blue Devils reached the 100-win milestone.
Duke (23-1, 11-1) began the day with an 11-0 five-inning shutout victory and closed out the evening with a 7-3 win over Syracuse (6-8, 2-5) at the Duke Softball Stadium. The Blue Devils' 17-game win streak is the longest in program history.
"Getting the 100th win for us is huge – it's fun to achieve those milestones as a program," Young said.
