Duke Sweeps Carolina Cup, Brings Home Title

CLEMSON, S.C. – The No. 14 Duke rowing team began the spring with an impressive performance at the Carolina Cup on Lake Hartwell. The Blue Devils competed against host Clemson and North Carolina and won all five races, claiming the 3V8, 2V4, V4, 2V8 and V8 races.

Duke totaled 99 points to best the host Tigers (87) and Tar Heels (78).

The Blue Devils began the day with winning the 3V8 in 7:05.5 to outrace North Carolina (7:14.6) and Clemson (7:25.7). Duke then took the 2V4 with a time of 7:37.4, holding off Clemson (7:43.
