GREENVILLE, S.C. – The Duke women's tennis team saw success Friday during the first day of the 33rd Debbie Southern Furman Fall Classic in Greenville, S.C.
Duke got off to a hot start by advancing all three doubles teams to the second round. No. 41 Kelly Chen/Margaryta Bilokin defeated No. 43 Anna Ross/Emma Kurtz of Vanderbilt 8-7 (4) before taking down Megan Davies/Gabriela Martinez Asensi of South Carolina 8-7 (4). The duo will take on Georgia Tech's Jones/Flores Saturday at 9 a.m.
The rookie/senior tandem of Chloe Beck/Meible Chi saw success Friday as well and took down both opponents.
