Duke Sophomore Earns Indonesia Women’s Amateur Open Golf Championship Victory

Duke Women’s golfer Gurbani Singh recently won the 2015 Indonesia Ladies Amateur Open Golf Championship. The 31st edition of the annual golf tournament was held at the Padang Golf Sukajadi Golf Course in Batam, Indonesia.

Gurbani Singh is a rising sophomore at Duke and played a key role as a part of the women’s golf team that advanced to the NCAA Women’s Golf Final Round last season. Signh, a native of New Delhi, India, was able to dominate in this tournament- leading for the entire event after each of the three rounds and winning the tournament by a total of 8 strokes.
