Duke started a bit slow against Gardner-Webb but once the Blue Devils took off, they took off.
Other than Kentucky, in many ways this was Duke’s best game of the year. Outside shooting was really improved - Trevor Keels hit 4-6 on threes while Wendell Moore got 2-3. Overall the team shot 9-21.
That means Duke scored 24 more on threes than they did against Kentucky.
Joey Baker came off the bench for 12 points while AJ Griffin had six rebounds, two assists and two steals.
All five starters finished in double figures. Keels had 18, Moore had 14, Mark Williams had 13 (and six blocks), Jeremy Roach had 10 (and six assists) while Paolo Banchero had 10 points and eight boards.
