Two incoming Duke women’s basketball freshmen Haley Gorecki and Kyra Lambert were recently named to the Parade High School All-America Team based on their performances this year in their final year of high school.
Haley Gorecki, a four-star guard player from William Fremd High School in Palatine, IL, excelled in her senior season averaging 23.4 points shooting 46.8 percent from the field and 78.3 percent from the free-throw line, 7.2 rebounds, 3.7 steals and 3.2 assists per game. She also earned the Chicago Sun-Times Player of the Year, was named “Ms. Basketball of Illinois“, and won the 2015 Illinois Gatorade Player of the Year after leading her team to the championship game this past season.
