Big news as DJ Steward, the 6-6 guard from Chicago’s Whitney Young High, has orally committed to Duke.
He told the Chicago Sun-Times that “Before getting on the plane to come home [from his visit] I told my family this was it, this was where I wanted to be. I knew this was the best decision for me and my future after being down there. Duke is a prestigious school both academically and athletically.”
He joins a perimeter oriented class with Jalen Johnson and Jeremy Roach which should free Duke to focus on bigger players.
