WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – Down 2-1 overall, Duke put together an 11-0 fourth-set run then dominated the final stanza to rally for a 3-2 (17-25, 26-24, 20-25, 25-18, 15-5) victory over Wake Forest Wednesday evening at Reynolds Gym.
Setter/hitter Andie Shelton finished a dig shy of her fourth triple-double of the season, contributing 12 kills, 20 assists and nine digs to go along with five blocks. Shelton was one of three Blue Devils in double-figure kills, joining outsides Payton Schwantz (14) and Ade Owokoniran (11).
Wednesday’s match marked Schwantz’ ninth of the season and fourth in a row with 10 or more kills.
