CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – The Duke rowing team finished three boats in first-place and five boats in second-place at the Big Ten/ACC Dual on Lake Monticello on Saturday.
Duke competed against Big Ten schools No. 6 Michigan and No. 7 Ohio State and ACC schools No. 10 Virginia and No. 17 Syracuse.
“Today was a fun day,” said head coach Megan Cooke Carcagno. “Our team raced really hard, especially after a few weeks of really tough training.”
The Blue Devils’ first win of the day came in the 2V8 morning race, as Leeloo Gilet, Lelia Boley, Reed Kenny, Meera Chakrabarti, Sydney Cikovic, Kiernan Spencer, Rhea Bergman, Taji Phillips and Gabriella Salvati clocked a time of 6:39.
