DURHAM, N.C. – Seventeen members of the Duke swimming and diving program received Scholar All-America honors from the College Swimming Coaches Association of America the organization announced Wednesday.
Both Blue Devil squads were named Scholar All-America teams by the CSCAA earlier this month for achieving a grade point average of 3.0 or higher for the spring semester. The Duke men led all ACC institutions with a combined grade point average of 3.36 for the semester while the women compiled a 3.52 team grade point average to rank fourth among conference teams.
Recent graduates Verity Abel, Lizzie Devitt, Leah Goldman and Isabella Paez, as well as rising seniors Hunter Aitchison and Maddie Hess were all selected for CSCAA Scholar All-America first team recognition after concluding the 2017-18 campaign at the NCAA Championships.
