DURHAM, N.C. – The Duke volleyball team opened the 2020 season with a 3-2 (25-19, 25-23, 25-8, 23-25, 15-12) victory over NC State on Wednesday evening in Cameron Indoor Stadium.
With the victory, the Blue Devils record their first win of the fall campaign and are 1-0 overall and in conference play.
Boasted by two players with double-digit kills, the Blue Devils took the first, third and fifth sets on their way to victory.
Duke was led by junior Lily Cooper and sophomore Gracie Johnson with 11 kills each as Johnson recorded her first double-double of the year with 10 digs.
