DURHAM, N.C. – The No. 15 Duke women's lacrosse team came away with a gutsy 12-8 victory over No. 18 Virginia Tech Sunday afternoon in Koskinen Stadium.
With the victory, the Blue Devils improve to 3-0 and are 1-0 in ACC action while the Hokies dip to 1-1 overall with their first conference loss this season.
"I felt like our mentality for today was that we think this game was going to teach us a lot about ourselves," head coach Kerstin Kimel said. "We have a tough slate, but I'm really, really proud of our team.
