Duke Men Place 11th at ACC Championships

CARY, N.C. -- The Duke men’s cross country team raced to an 11th-place team finish at the ACC Cross Country Championships held at the WakeMed Soccer Park in Cary, N.C., Friday morning. Syracuse took the team title with 29 points, followed by Virginia (72) in second and NC State (82) in third.

“I was pleased with Stephen Garrett’s place,” head men’s cross country coach Norm Ogilvie said. “That’s a lifetime best over 8K for him, and a competitive effort. The biggest positive of the day is that the guys got a taste of how tough the ACC really is, and hopefully that will motivate them to continue working hard.
