GREENVILLE, N.C. – With its top five runners finishing in under 25 minutes, the Duke men’s cross country team raced to a first-place team victory on Friday evening on the Lake Kristi Cross Country Course in the ECU Pirates Invite.
Duke finished with 31 team points to clinch the top spot by a 30-point margin and capture its third consecutive win of the fall season. The host-team, ECU, placed second with 61 team points, while Elon finished third, tallying 84 points.
“It’s a good solid win for the program”, said assistant coach Sean McNulty.
