CHARLOTTE, N.C.— The Duke field hockey trio of Paige Bitting, Alaina McVeigh and Charlie van Oirschot were selected to the Preseason All-ACC field hockey team in a vote of the league's eight coaches. The Blue Devils are picked to finish third in the high-powered league.
Virginia tops the list to finish in first place with 76 points and four first-place votes. North Carolina is in second with 75 points and four first-place votes. The Blue Devils, after capturing a share of the ACC regular season crown last year, garnered 63 points and one first-place vote.
