The Duke Lacrosse team fell to the Notre Dame Fighting Irish in the semifinals of the ACC Tournament on Saturday afternoon by a score of 12-10.
The Blue Devils never held a lead in the game and trailed by as many as five goals midway through the third quarter and by four at the beginning of the fourth.
Notre Dame led 8-4 at halftime, but the Blue Devils were able to climb back into the game thanks to a 5-1 scoring run extending late into the fourth quarter.
Duke was able to cut its deficit to one goal with under three minutes to go in the fourth, but the Blue Devils could not get that elusive game tying goal as Notre Dame was able to net the dagger with 54 seconds remaining to ice the game.
