NASHVILLE – The Duke men’s golf team shot a collective 10-under 274 in the second round of the DICK’S Sporting Goods Collegiate Challenge Cup – the best round in the field on Friday – to finish the day in third place overall.
The Blue Devils, who rebounded in the afternoon from a 10-over 294 start to post a total of 568 (E), will open Saturday’s third round seven strokes behind tournament leader Virginia. Duke’s second-round score was the seventh-best 18-hole total in school history and tied for the 11th-best in program history in relation to par.
