It certainly isn’t the worst news possible for the Sacramento Kings, but it isn’t the best either as Marvin Bagley III will remain out through the conclusion of the Las Vegas Summer League.
The No. 2 overall pick in the 2018 NBA Draft sustained the injury in Saturday’s game against the Phoenix Suns Summer League team where he scored 15 points and pulled down seven rebounds but underwent an MRI on his groin and hip flexor on Monday morning.
The Kings announced on Monday night that Bagley suffered a pelvic bone bruise and will have to rest approximately one to two weeks, causing him to miss the rest of the Las Vegas Summer League.
