Duke in Fourth at Crooked Stick

CARMEL, IND. – The sixth-ranked Duke men’s golf team fired a collective 591 (+15) on Monday on the first day of play at the Crooked Stick Intercollegiate, finishing the day in fourth place in the 12-team field.

The Blue Devils are 15 strokes behind tournament leader Illinois, but part of a group that is bunched within eight strokes of second through fifth places.

“This course is a PGA Tour-quality course and it was set up really well today,” Duke head coach Jamie Green said. “We battled along today and made some really good pars.
