DURHAM, N.C. – Duke Athletics introduced a new contemporary secondary logo for football on Monday that connects Duke and its home city of Durham, North Carolina.
The base of the logo is the iconic Blue Devil and the famous "headband" that is donned with different monikers. For this mark, the Blue Devil will don its hometown – Bull City, as Durham is affectionately known. Additionally, the hands symbolize a ritualistic motion that has become a staple for Duke student-athletes and fans when celebrating big moments on the field of play.
This new mark will be prominently featured throughout Durham, on campus and in Brooks Field at Wallace Wade Stadium this fall through marketing campaigns and merchandising offerings.
