DURHAM – Duke held its second 85-play scrimmage of preseason fall camp Saturday morning at Brooks Field at Wallace Wade Stadium.
Graduate student quarterback Gunnar Holmberg went 7-of-12 for 168 yards while adding a touchdown and was successful on a two-point conversion. The Wake Forest, N.C., native also added 14 rushing yards on seven carries.
Freshman running back Trent Davis totaled 66 yards on six rushes, highlighted by a 48-yard sprint that resulted in a touchdown. Redshirt freshman quarterback Luca Diamont also made use of his legs, recording 86 yards on 10 carries.
