LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The No. 38 Duke men’s tennis team wrapped up the regular season Friday at No. 39 Louisville, holding off the Cardinals in a tight 4-3 contest at the Bass-Rudd Tennis Center. Duke took the doubles point, but trailed 2-1 before answering with three consecutive singles victories to clinch the match. Senior TJ Pura completed his final regular season match by clinching the contest for Duke.
Sophomore Catalin Mateas started the singles comeback with a victory, his seventh in a row, while classmate Ryan Dickerson gave the Blue Devils the lead at 3-2, leading to Pura’s clincher.
